A new aftercare service in partnership with Re-Style

At Billy Tannery we make leather goods designed to stand the test of time. From the leather to the final stitch, everything is done here in the UK in small batches under our watchful eye.

With normal day-to-day use, our products don’t need much maintenance and our Care Kit contains everything you need to keep your vegetable-tanned leather conditioned at home.

But we know that not everyone is confident in doing this themselves, or perhaps your product needs a little bit of extra attention. Our partnership with Re-Style means you can send your bags, wallets and accessories to a specialist artisan for refresh, repair or maybe even a total reimagining. 

How Does It Work?

Re-Style artisans are specialists in repairing leather goods. From scuffs, stains or tears in the leather to missing buckles or rivets, they can get your items back in top condition from just £40. 

To give your leather goods a bit of love, follow the button below, select 'Accessories Repair' and then fill in the form, including adding some photos. 

Your artisan will then be in touch within 3 working days with details for sending your item(s), together with a quote for the chosen service.

What repairs are possible? Can I make other changes?

Re-Style can help with internal and external cleaning of bags and accessories, as well as stain removal and hardware polishing. They can also repair linings, pipings, edging and replace hardware.

We want our products to be used as much as possible and we understand that you might have ideas for customisations. Feel free to discuss these with the artisan as part of your quotation and make sure to share photos on Instagram and tag @billytannery, we’d love to see your new interpretations.

Refresh & Repair isn't just for bags and accessories, so we encourage you to use Re-Style for your clothes too. Simply select 'Clothes Repairs' at the first step instead to send details to a specialist tailor.

Are the costs for repairs covered by Billy Tannery?

If during the artisan inspection, an issue is determined to be caused by poor workmanship or a fault rather than misuse or fair wear and tear, Billy Tannery will cover the cost of this part of the job. This will be judged fairly on a case-by-case basis and discussed transparently with you.

Our vegetable-tanned goat and deer leather are natural materials that will change with use. This patina is part of the joy of owning one of our products and recolouring is not covered by our repair guarantee.

REPAIR FAQS

How will Re-Style be in touch with me about my refresh or repair?

All communication about your refresh and repair will be managed by Re-Style. You will be prompted to create an account with them by email, once your request form has been reviewed.

How do I send in my products for repair and refresh?

Once you complete the request form, you will receive an email to allow you to create an account with Re-Style. The Re-Style artisan will be in touch via this account to advise where to send your item. They offer a door-to-door collection and drop off service to help ensure your product is received and returned safely.

How long does the service take on average?

From sending in your item to receiving it back, the service usually takes around 3-4 weeks.

Can I use this service for my Billy Tannery apron?

Absolutely! Just start a request and select accessories as the product type and 'other' as the item.

Can I use this service for shoes and boots?

If you own of a pair of Billy Tannery shoes or boots from our collaborations with Jadd Shoes, Goral or Crown Northampton that require new soles or a repair, we recommend this be handled by the shoe specialists who originally created them. Please contact us for further information.

Can I subscribe to a regular cleaning service?

This initial launch of our Refresh & Repair service will be used to see if there is demand for a regular cleaning service to go alongside our products. If you have any questions or feedback about this please contact us, we’d love to hear from you.

Can I send products from other brands?

Our goal is to keep your leather goods going for as long as possible, no matter where you bought them. So feel free to use our service to have leather goods from other brands repaired at your own cost.
